So I think I've read somewhere that PLTR's marked as loss some SPAC investments in one of this years' Qs. Have you read anything about that - and if yes, which ones or maybe why'd they do it?
I thought it may have been a way to 'show' losses for the quarter though I figured that doesn't make sense since they're not posting profits yet so there's no profits to offset for said loss.
It seems these kind of companies all have their niches but benefit from integration.
Since SPACs are publicly listed, from an accounting perspective their stock variations must be written mark-to-market. This means that each quarter Palantir needs to record the paper gain-losses related to price changes.
