Palantir’s salesforce is obviously small when compared to other cloud companies.
Salespeople and related % of employees:
Snowflake: 1,726 (33% of employees);
Salesforce: 15,454 (22% of employees);
ServiceNow: 2,687 (13% of employees);
Palantir: 148 (4% of employees).
If we calculate the avg. Revenues generated by each Salesperson we obtain a staggering statistic:
Each Palantir salesperson could bring 5x Revenues compared with Salesforce’s and ServiceNow’s.
Revenues generated on average by each Salesperson (Linkedin data):
Salesforce: $0.7mn;
ServiceNow: $1.7mn;
Snowflake: $2.2mn;
Palantir: $10.4mn.
This suggests that:
Palantir has an incredible potential to ramp up Revenues by hiring new sales representatives.
This is exactly what Palantir is doing. In recent quarters Palantir started hiring salespeople aggressively, especially in the US Commercial as mentioned in the last article.
